Escape to our ultra cool cottage and guest suite just above the hip and spa town of Calistoga. Enjoy this private retreat only a 6 minute drive (or 60 min hike!) to awesome restaurants and shopping in Calistoga, Napa Valley's new LUX destination.

Our LUX Cottage is just over 1400 sq ft of open, livable space, nestled in the hills above Calistoga and surrounded by olive trees, mountain springs & hiking trails from your doorstep. A spacious deck leads to an outdoor/indoor living area with lounge seating, a large fire pit & hammocks placed strategically on the property for a relaxed escape.

The main cottage and guest suite feature designer furniture and furnishings. All beds are Amerisleep AS3 (which EVERYONE says are the most comfortable they have ever used!) and topped with pressed Restoration Hardware linens and plush and warm Pacific Feather Company duvets. The two bedrooms (1 King & 1 Queen) in the Cottage are up floating stairs to a mezzanine level which is open to the below area in order to provide good circulation. The bathroom is downstairs, so the Cottage is best suited for close friends and family who don’t expect complete privacy!

The separate guest suite for the Cottage is just steps away with it's own comfy sitting area and Queen bed (no bathroom...yet!).

The Kitchen has all the large and small appliances you'll need to enjoy your mountain escape, including refrigerator, dishwasher, stove/oven combo. We also have a drip coffee maker and a SAECO automatic coffee system that makes Lattes, Espressos, and Americanos from fresh whole beans each time!

The Bathroom has plush Restoration Hardware Turkish towels and Napa Valley Soap amenities (hand soap, bath gel, shampoo & conditioner). You also have a hairdryer and plenty of tissues, toilet paper, Q-Tips, make-up remover and more!

Our Cottage is located in a shaded section of the lot with gentle breezes. It has a metal roof and stays very cool throughout the year, so the Cottage does not have central A/C. We do have a beautiful stone fireplace and forced-air heat for those cold evenings and nights.

Given the nature of power outages in California the Cottage does have a whole house generator that provides automatic uninterrupted full power during electrical outages.
To mitigate fire danger we have defensible space around the cottage and three exit paths in the unlikely event these are needed.
**Both bedrooms provide open/vertical loft exposure to Downstairs Floor to maximize light and air circulation. The one (1) full bathroom is located downstairs on Main Floor.

**Gen5 Satellite Internet/WiFi (Speed test Dec 2020: Download 26.9 Mbps / Upload 1.9 Mbps. Broadband cable is not available on our street so FYI with expectations w/ heavy streaming on multiple devices).

** We do employ home security alarm / motion detect lights & door entrances & driveway area security cameras. As Owners, we hold a Property Management certificate and license from the County of Sonoma.

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY: Effective March 1, 2020 our cancellation policy is as follows:
- Cancellations 30+ days prior to arrival will receive a full refund less any fees for credit card processing we assumed when you made your original payments. (We do not charge credit card fees when guests originally reserve).
- Cancellations less that 30 days prior to arrival will not receive a refund unless we are able to rebook the property for your same dates. In that case you will be refunded the full amount of your payments to date less any fees for credit card processing we assumed when you made your original payments. If we choose, you may be able to receive a credit toward a future stay valued at the full amount of your payments less original credit card fees.

Deposit Policy

DAMAGE WAIVER INSURANCE - Property damage insurance is required and will be added to your invoice total at time of booking. We also reserve the right to add a cash deposit requirement at any time. Renter acknowledges the he/she may be liable for damage above the coverage amount should any of the following cause significant harm to the property:

a. Damage is done to property or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear.
b. Debris other than toilet paper is placed in the toilets. The property is not connected to city sewer but has its own septic systems. Flushing feminine hygiene or other objects down the toilets can cause significant damage.
c. Debris, rubbish, recycle and discards are left in the house (must be placed in appropriate trash receptacles next to the small garage.)
d. Smoking in the house or anywhere on the property will result in a $1,000 fine NOT payable by the Damage Deposit Waiver.
e. Renter is evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner) or local law enforcement.
f. Having more than the approved number of people on the property at any one time without prior approval.
g. Adjusting any pool setting or equipment, water system (including sprinklers or well equipment, etc.), or any other property maintenance equipment.
