Overlooking its own horse pasture and featuring a custom Augusta-inspired 100-yard golf hole with a sprawling 6,000 square foot green, this property is truly one-of-a-kind.
Step outside to discover landscaped lawns, a spacious front lawn frequented by local wildlife, and an expansive back deck spanning over 3,000 square feet. The deck includes ample covered space, ideal for al fresco dining or lounging while admiring stunning sunsets over a glass of wine.
Every corner of this estate exudes elegance and sophistication, with unique touches such as wood shelves and fireplace mantle reclaimed from a historic sailing vessel in Bodega Bay, and a stone fireplace crafted from stone sourced from a 200-year-old quarry in Vermont. Mayastoga offers our guests Wine Country Concierge services for a small fee per day of your stay. Your concierge will plan and manage all aspects of your visit to our distinctive property in California’s northern Wine Country. Itineraries can include boutique and hard-to-access wineries, local restaurant reservations and transportation, as well as special touches that make for a truly memorable adventure. In addition to your tasting days, arrangements can include evenings in the comfort of your luxury residence with a private chef, a guest winemaker, or a cheese tasting and pairing with an internationally recognized food and wine expert (or all of the above!). Of course, there are numerous activities in addition to wine and culinary plans that are regularly arranged for our clients that include unique local attractions and activities (including our “Kids Country” itineraries).
MINIMUM STAY REQUIREMENTS: We have a 3-night minimum with the exception of a 5-night minimum June - August and major holidays (New Year, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.)
CANCELLATION POLICY: Effective March 1, 2020 our cancellation policy is as follows:
- Cancellations 30+ days prior to arrival will receive a full refund less any fees for credit card processing we assumed when you made your original payments. (We do not charge credit card fees when guests originally reserve)
- Cancellations less that 30 days prior to arrival will not receive a refund unless we are able to re-book the property for your same dates. In that case you will be refunded the full amount of your payments to date less any fees for credit card processing we assumed when you made your original payments. If we choose, you may be able to receive a credit toward a future stay valued at the full amount of your payments less original credit card fees.
DEPOSIT: We reserve the right to include a cash deposit based upon the details of the reservation.
Quiet Hours as mandated by Sonoma County Code Section 26-88-120 are between 10p and 7a.
Enjoy meals overlooking the pool and the rolling valley beyond in the open-concept dining space with seating for 10. There is a Kitchen-Aid outdoor BBQ with a warming drawer, separate burners, and plenty of counter space for food preparation.
Adjacent to the dining room is a gourmet kitchen, outfitted with contemporary appliances including a six-top gas stove, oven, dishwasher, wine fridge, built-in fridge, and coffee maker.
The first en suite was the original master bedroom and has a comfy king bed and 65” TV. The second en suite has its own king bed, 65” TV and a bedroom sized bathroom with views of the mountains. The third bedroom features two queens, a 65” TV, and a full bathroom just outside its doors. The office has its own bed and half bath attached.
The sprawling grounds of this estate include a pool, gas grill, numerous dining and sitting areas, and a beautiful courtyard with a fountain and chaise lounge chairs.
Please note: The pool can be heated any time of the year for a cost. It is also dependent upon weather.
This rental is also available on a long-term basis.
Please note: Rentals longer than 30 nights require bi-monthly housekeeping at the guest’s expense and a monthly homeowner required property inspection, as well as an inspection upon departure with the tenant being present.

Cancellation Policy

Deposit Policy
DAMAGE WAIVER INSURANCE - Property damage insurance is required and will be added to your invoice total at time of booking. We also reserve the right to add a cash deposit requirement at any time. Renter acknowledges the he/she may be liable for damage above the coverage amount should any of the following cause significant harm to the property:
a. Damage is done to property or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear.
b. Debris other than toilet paper is placed in the toilets. The property is not connected to city sewer but has its own septic systems. Flushing feminine hygiene or other objects down the toilets can cause significant damage.
c. Debris, rubbish, recycle and discards are left in the house (must be placed in appropriate trash receptacles next to the small garage.)
d. Smoking in the house or anywhere on the property will result in a $1,000 fine NOT payable by the Damage Deposit Waiver.
e. Renter is evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner) or local law enforcement.
f. Having more than the approved number of people on the property at any one time without prior approval.
g. Adjusting any pool setting or equipment, water system (including sprinklers or well equipment, etc.), or any other property maintenance equipment.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Shygusta Ranch. The house was the perfect spot for my family who flew in to spend time with us.
We have a baby and the extra room off of the laundry room was a nice quiet place for him to sleep. The hot tub was the perfect start to the morning, the pool a great place to cool down during the day and the porch was a beautiful spot for our family to have dinner. My brothers and I played basketball and rounds of closest to the pin on several days (on site!). We had a lovely balance of days out paddle boarding on the Russian River, Winery Hopping, horseback riding, hiking and time spent around the house and in town. Arthur was incredibly helpful and responsive - we loved his chef recommendation who came to cook a few meals for us during the week. This is a very peaceful and private space, including some friendly wildlife nearby. We look forward to an opportunity to come back and recommend this sanctuary for families ready to relax and spend time together.

Booked this Airbnb for a friends surprise birthday weekend. The home is very spacious and is breath taking in person. Kitchen had everything we needed. The yard is beautiful. We definitely enjoyed the grill in the yard. W property management did a great job making sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

Great house, great location, well managed, clean and feels new. The yard and deck is awesome. We found it was better to stay at the house in the evenings than go out to dinner ! Everything was easy to figure out and the kitchen was really well stocked with everything you need…. I hope it’s available next time !
